The cart is the easy part; the equipment on it decides what it is worth. Ask for the brand and age of the espresso machine and grinder, whether the machine runs on a standard outlet or needs a dedicated circuit, and what power source comes with it. Check the water system: most health departments want a handwashing sink and separate fresh and grey water tanks sized for a day of service.
For a trailer or truck, ask for the title and VIN, check the tires, axles and hitch, and confirm the build passed inspection where it was last operated. Permits generally stay with the operator, so plan on getting your own. Common questions
How much does a used coffee cart cost?
It depends most on what comes with it. A bare cart costs far less than a turnkey setup with a commercial espresso machine, grinder, water system and generator, and trailers and trucks cost more again. Compare listings with similar equipment, and ask sellers for the age and brand of the espresso machine, since it is often the most valuable piece.
Does a used coffee cart come with permits?
Usually not. Health permits and business licenses are issued to the operator and the location, so they generally do not transfer with the cart. Before you buy, ask your county health department what it requires (sinks, water tanks, surfaces) and check that the cart can meet it.
Is it free to list a coffee cart for sale?
Yes. Listings are free and run for 90 days. Each one is checked before it goes live, buyers contact you through a form on your listing, and your email address is never shown on the page.
Can I list a matcha cart or espresso equipment?
Yes. Matcha carts, chai and hot chocolate carts, coffee trailers, trucks and vans, and espresso machines, grinders and other equipment can all be listed.
